Jesus she got tan in Shadow.Search the indicated locations to find Relics, Documents, Monoliths, Strongboxes, Coins/Survival Caches, Explorer Satchels, Archivists Maps, and more. It's not the texture, it's the change in lighting - the subsurface scattering seems a lot more aggressive in Shadow which makes her "glow" a little more. The dress that she's wearing in the image, you can see the individual patterns on the cloth as well as the gold shimmering in the light as she runs or climbs.
Lara's in-game character models since the reboot, all taken in PC max settings x Posted by 3 years ago. It's to give people a more objective comparison, with as much detail as possible. Up close though you can see she has the same or more detail as in Rise.Ĭontinue this thread. Nevertheless, the intention here isn't to say which looks better. I think it's just a PC vs console thing, I've seen screenshots like this that look really good and some where she looks really bad. More posts from the TombRaider community.
Looks like the difference is in rise they have simulated the translucency of the skin so that it can have that lighting differential without looking shiny. I've always thought this version of her was stunning. Lara Croft is such an incredible character and I'm so proud to have experienced this trilogy from beginning to end. I think the bad ones are console, where her face just looks like airbrushed plastic. Lara in Rise is better and more detailed, at least to me. Shadow Lara from what I've seen doesn't really have that realistic skin texture in her. I'm not sure what exactly it is, but something about every shadow Lara picture I've seen so far haven't played the game yet just puts me off - it seems too soft, it looks more like a painting to me than an attempt at a realistic render. Rise of the tomb raider is the first tomb raider title to be made from the ground up for current-gen I really love the progress in graphics between an Rise. Maybe go to a friends house or something. Maybe something to do with the lighting, such that the 'depth' isn't as great.
